  • DBT Consulting for Providers

I offer training and consulting to providers wishing to learn Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I trained with Alan Fruzzetti, Ph.D. as part of his DBT lab and treatment team at the University of Nevada, Reno. I was also intensively trained by Dr. Marsha Linehan’s training company, Behavioral Tech. I have trained over 100 Veteran’s Affairs providers in DBT and provided consultation to several Veteran’s Affairs (VA) health care systems on setting up a DBT program. I ran a DBT program at the VA from 2013 until 2021. Please call or email to discuss how to add this crucial therapy to your or your team’s offerings.

Specialties

  • Trauma

Trauma can have a profoundly negative impact on how you see the world, how you value yourself, and how you interact with others. I offer the gold standard, evidence-based treatments, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure, to help you recover from post-traumatic stress disorder.

  • Chronic Pain

Chronic pain can interfere with all aspects of your life. While psychotherapy cannot take all your pain away, it can help you learn to manage pain in a way that essentially turns the volume down on pain and allow you to get back to doing the things in life you value.

  • Overwhelming Emotions

Do you feel your inability to manage your emotions causes problems for your life? Perhaps you feel emotions so intensely that they get in your way of healthy relationships, personal success, and peace of mind? Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a treatment that can teach you how to have a more harmonious relationship with your emotions.
